A Year of Words – UPDATE

So obviously posts for A Year of Words has hit a stand-still over here on the blog… But over on Instagram, things are BOOMING! And wonderful opportunities are happening! (Hence why my poor little bloggie has been neglected).

Since we last met:

  • I’ve taken a dive in graphic design a bit and started customizing invitations, cards, and logos for people. What?! It’s always been a dream, but now people actually want me to do it for them??
  • I did a collaboration with Zaaina Skincare for Mother’s Day and we are now talking about collaborating on bridal party gifts as well! Please go check out Purvi’s products! They’re all natural and oh-so luxurious 🙂
  • How did I meet Purvi? Well that’s another crazy thing! I was invited to join a community called Makers Gonna Trade (@makersgonnatrade) on Instagram and got connected with so many wonderful creative women!! We do monthly trades of our products, and I love how exciting our first exchange was!

I plan to start blogging again on a regular basis really soon! But until then, go visit @ayearofwords on Instagram for all the fun!

And Happy Early Mother’s Day!  Click this link –> Proverbs 31 Wallpaper

Proverbs 31

Good Friday

How deep the Father’s love for us,
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure

How great the pain of searing loss,
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the chosen One,
Bring many sons to glory

Behold the Man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice,
Call out among the scoffers

It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection

Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

It is finished

Tonight when we got to my parents’ house, these flowers were in my mom’s kitchen. She had just pulled them out of the garden and the symbolism they spoke to me about Good Friday was powerful. 1, 2, 3 flowers. “On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will come again to judge the living and the dead.”

Easter is coming, guys. And if that doesn’t give you hope, I don’t know what will.
