The Challenge

Dear world,

I have the best fiance out there. I mean THE BEST! He challenges me. He strengthens me. He encourages me. AND he has offered to do the dishes for the first week after the honeymoon!!! πŸ™‚

Well… kinda…

Will has offered me a challenge (through Twitter nonetheless). A challenge that will be physically, emotionally, and mentally demanding. And the challenge is this…

WHO CAN RUN THE MOST MILES BEFORE THE WEDDING?

We’ve only got a little over a month left… so let’s be sure we’re in top shape, right?! And why not put the first week of dishes at stake? Loser does the dishes… Therefore, Will will be doing the dishes! Of course I’ll let you know the real results July 11th (that’s our end date).

Ready… Set… GO! But really… It’s time to go run!

Shower #4

Our fourth and final shower was in Thomasville and an ABSOLUTE blast! My family and Will’s family were all in town along with some local friends and some out-of-townΒ surprisesΒ (who came in by plane… no big deal). It was the perfect weekend… again. Haha. Really though! It was the first time my grandparents ever got to be in Thomasville and Will and I had so much fun showing off our house, hosting our families, and sharing our favorite parts of town with them!

Another highlight of the day…

These two. My flower girls are the MOST PRECIOUS little ones I’ve ever seen. And we got to talk about being princesses all afternoon… It was great!

Just a little ways to go πŸ™‚

Bachelorette Weekend!!!

Not to exaggerate and not to make it a competition, but I have the best friends in the entire world πŸ™‚

This weekend some of my lovely ladies took time out of their busy lives to take me to the beach for a fun getaway weekend to celebrate #wilgerwedding!!!! Honestly, it was just the best. We didn’t have a place to be or a thing to do but sit on the beach with our toes in the sand, giggle, reminisce about all the fun times we’ve had together, and relax!!!!

There were three really special things about this weekend that I’ll be forever thankful for.

1. Now all of my friends are friends! It was weird going into the weekend because I realized that these 6 women who I’m very close to weren’t all very close to each other. But that changed in no time! College friends and kindergarten friends were laughing together. Friends who had somehow never met before now how inside jokes. And it was just exactly what I didn’t even know that I needed. My mini-communities all coming together and loving every minute of it!

2. Not that I love being treated like a diva princess, but I do… Haha. And every single detail of the trip had me in mind. Ridiculously spoiled and loved. I’m okay with it though πŸ™‚ Fenn even planned a game where she taped Will answering questions and I had to guess what he’d say. It was so much fun and I was amazed by the time and effort put into it just for me!! So so sweet.

3. And finally (because I love making lists…), the best part of the whole weekend was just that we were there. All there. No distractions. Not even very much technology (except for Instagram… sorry for blowing it up haha). We were just together and that was enough. And we were all able to have a good time with no stress or to-do lists or drama. It was just the refresher I needed to start the summer.

So ladies, thank you! I can’t say it enough. And I will truly never forget our perfect little fling before the ring πŸ™‚

Shower #3

Family is so fun!

We had another beautiful shower this weekend with some of my mom’s family and Will’s mom got to come too! There were games, delicious food, and awesome company. PLUS all of the ladies gave me great date ideas!!

ImageOne of my favorite things about this lovely Saturday in Oxford was the fact that EVERYTHING was my style… EVERYTHING! Mason jars. Lace. Burlap. Baby’s breath. Mint green. Pinks and peach. Classic Coke bottles. It was pretty much a wedding preview πŸ™‚

Again, as I reflect I am just blessed by the amount of love people have for Will & I. It’s overwhelming, incredible, and comforting all at once! Grateful to the extreme!

Shower #2

Yet another overwhelming encouraging weekend spent with people I love celebrating #wilgerwedding! This time around it was GIRLS ONLY! (Well, except for baby Liam πŸ™‚ haha.)

Mom & I got to be “showered” by some of our best girlfriends in McDonough! From the breakfast casseroles to the flower arrangements to the gifts on gifts on gifts, it was a lovely day with some lovely women who I am so blessed by and thankful for!

One of my favorite parts of this shower was how some of the ladies gave me recipes (along with the ingredients needed to make them) to some of their families’ favorite dishes!! Not going to lie… Mary Hay chicken and Milky Way icing are probably going to be some of the first things I make when I get into the chicken… Not together, of course πŸ™‚

And on top of all of that, two of my lovely bridesmaids got to join in on the fun! Yep, that Storm Trooper is my MOH! Haha!

Without a doubt, wedding season is in full swing!! Loooooove it!
