#25 – Memorize a Bible verse a week for 6 months. 21/24

“Let love and faithfulness never leave you. Bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.” Proverbs 3:3

Ya’ll, it’s wedding week. And reflecting this morning on this verse is such a sweet reminder as I embrace my last week of singleness and excitedly anticipate my new life being married to my bestest friend.

It’s super easy to get going in the routine of life and forget to express love intentionally and outwardly. This verse has been reminding me all week to not let love be something that just becomes a part of the routine. Because guess what? If it’s just routine… it’s not going to be fun… or meaningful… or lasting. And the whole faithfulness part. Goodness! I’ve learned this year (and a lot of years) over and over how faithful the Lord is. Even in our season of engagement and wedding planning God has been so faithful. And now these lessons on faithfulness have been given to Will & I and its time for us to live our lives faithfully doing what is best for the other.

Binding love to my neck. Writing faithfulness in my heart. This are actions that I want to continuously remember as I step into this new chapter of life and love.

For this week…
