#25 – Memorize a Bible verse a week for 6 months. 17/24

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord, and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green and they never stop producing fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

Recently I’ve been reflecting a lot on what it means to dip into The Well daily. If I’m being really honest… I just don’t. And I know that I need to. And I know that I want to! But I’m really good at making excuses/ making myself soooo busy and self-consumed that I just forget…

That’s awful.

But this week I was encouraged by the fact that while dipping into that living water daily IS important (by no means am I about to make an excuse for not having my priorities perfectly straight) it is just as important to be grounded in a foundation with roots that are deeper than droughts or heat. In essence, the daily walk is VITAL. Extremely!! But the lifetime of devotion gives us a source within ourselves for those days that we slip up and aren’t perfect. Amen amen amen!

I pray today that I am a well-rooted tree and that the fruit I am honored to produce brings glory to His name.

NEW VERSE!
