Last week’s lesson was about words.
This week it’s time.
Our time is not infinite. In fact, it’s often very limited because of all of the things we try to jam-pack into one day. Productivity is excellent, but when it comes at the expense of other things (mainly relationships) it makes you wonder if all of the commitments are worth the time.
This weekend Will and I took an intentional day off. We made up our minds to put everything else on hold for just one day and spend some quality time with one another. Can I just say that it was maybe one of my favorite days ever?! We grabbed some CFA breakfast (what else?!) and then hit the road. We went to Tallulah Gorge, and if you’ve never spent a day there… you need to… this fall… maybe even this upcoming weekend (it is the UGA bye weekend after all). The day was spent hiking, taking turns asking each other fun questions, eating boiled peanuts & fudge, and just generally being together. Fully present. Engaged, if you will 🙂
With time truly flying by during these fun times, it’s important to remember that time must be treasured and well-spent. It’s never okay to just go through the motions. At least not if you want your life to be an adventure.
Which I do. And I will work diligently to live out.
