If there is one thing you should know about me, it is that I LOVE to be surprised. Obviously surprises that are scary or make me sad are not included in that statement, but for the most part I just love to be pleasantly surprised. Maybe it comes from the fact that I love surprising other people with little acts of affection. Maybe it comes from the fact that I understand that in order to pull off a surprise there has to be a lot of thought and planning. But one thing is for sure… The boy I love is full of surprises.
This isn’t the first time he’s just showed up to surprise me for the weekend, but I’ll tell you what… It never gets old.
On Saturday morning, Will called me and told me that he had lost his credit card (YIKES!) and that he thought he had left it in my car the last weekend he was up in Athens. So of course I offer to go down and check and tell him that I’ll call him right back. Well, I didn’t have to because when I got to my car he was just standing there laughing because yep… he had tricked me. SURPRISE!
My #79 task on my list of things to do is to surprise someone in a big way. This weekend got me thinking about how/ when I’d like to have that happen and got me all excited about some ideas 🙂 But obviously I can’t say anything in detail because… duh… it’s a surprise!
But all that to say, the weekend was perfection! I am just too blessed.
PLUS! I got to experience my first Sunday Funday!! I’ve decided that while I’m doing the Paleo diet for 2 months, I’m going to take one day a week to give myself a break so I don’t get burnt out (and so that I can maybe keep it up for even longer than 2 months!) So, Sunday Funday is the day because 1. There’s a chocolate fountain… duh. 2. The meal plan doesn’t cover Sunday nights so I can eat whatever I’ve been craving that week, get it out of my system, and start strong again on Monday.
I’m really loving Paleo life. My body just feels better. And I’m never hungry. I eat whenever I want to. And really whatever I want to too! (As long as I want to eat fruits, veggies, or meats haha.) But so far so good. And for reals, it might become a lifestyle for this girl. It’s worth it to feel this good! 🙂
My RAs are starting to move in! YAY! More training starts tomorrow! YAY! And then the residents get here! YAY!
Where did the summer go?! Let’s get this fall started!
